As an Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving data-driven decisions to ensure seamless coordination across the supply chain. This hybrid position combines logistics and planning functions, focusing on forecasting, market analysis, and order fulfillment. You will closely collaborate with the Sales department to gather demand data and ensure market coverage during the planning and procurement processes. Your primary responsibility will be to use data to optimize vehicle flow, enhance market forecasting, and contribute to the overall operational efficiency.Responsibilities:Planning & Forecasting ResponsibilitiesData-Driven Planning: Collect, consolidate, and analyze forecast data from markets to improve decision-making and enhance planning accuracy. Use data to predict future demand and potential market gaps.Sales Demand Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales team to gather accurate demand data for vehicles. Ensure the integration of sales forecasts into planning activities to guarantee sufficient supply and meet demand.Purchase Order Management: Analyze incoming Purchase Orders (POs) and confirm the expected delivery schedules with dealers. Prepare and manage delivery plans based on sales data and market needs.Planning Adjustments: Identify potential issues or discrepancies in supply versus demand and work to resolve them by adjusting forecasts, orders, or vehicle delivery schedules.Reporting and Analysis: Leverage advanced Excel skills to conduct in-depth data analysis and generate actionable insights for the operations team. Provide data-driven recommendations to improve operational performance.Logistics ResponsibilitiesDaily Coordination: Maintain clear and consistent communication with Italian dealers, Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.Local and International Logistics: Oversee and optimize local transportation within Italy, as well as shipments from EU ports to national compounds. Select the best suppliers and transportation methods (trucking, shipping, or combined) for timely delivery.Shipment Tracking: Monitor real-time shipment statuses and ensure that any delays or issues are quickly addressed. Keep all relevant parties informed of vehicle arrivals and delivery timelines.Documentation Management: Handle commercial documents (e.g., invoices) and ensure all necessary paperwork is processed and delivered to the appropriate parties.Vendor Collaboration: Participate in monthly review meetings with logistics suppliers to assess performance and identify opportunities for improvement.General ResponsibilitiesCross-Department Collaboration: Ensure seamless communication and coordination between European teams, BYD China HQ, dealers, and external partners.Continuous Process Improvement: Support and contribute to ongoing process optimization initiatives to improve the efficiency of both logistics and planning functions.System Management: Utilize ERP/WMS/OMS systems to manage data efficiently. Ensure that manual updates (e.g., using Excel) are accurate and timely when system-based updates are not available.Issue Resolution: Proactively identify bottlenecks and challenges in the supply chain and propose actionable solutions to mitigate risks and improve operational flow.Documentation & Reporting: Support all necessary paperwork, both internal and external, ensuring compliance and smooth operational workflows.What Were Looking For:Educational Background: Bachelor''s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, Statistics, Data analist or a related field.Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in demand planning, logistics, or a related field within the automotive industry.Technical Skills:Proficient in ERP/WMS/OMS systems for logistics management and planning processes.Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data visualization.Languages: Fluency in Italian and English is required.
