A busy hotel and restaurant is looking for an F&B; ReservationistThe successful incumbent will be responsible for the following:- Dealing with all incoming enquiries regarding Restaurant availability, rates, etc, as well as taking, processing and confirming these reservations in the appropriate manner.- Dealing with all correspondence or communications with regards to the above.- Furnishing all relevant GUESTS / CLIENTS with the necessary confirmation letters or pro-forma invoices.- Furnishing all relevant GUESTS invoices and following up on these, to ensure payments are received on or before their due dates.- Communicating with the F&B; TEAM on the upcoming reservations and ensure all preparations are done, including menus, accounts checked in and requests are followed through.- Responsible for adherence to laid down procedures and standards, in order to achieve the highest possible profit margins.- Effective filing & carrying out of additional duties, as requested by the Departmental Head.**The following are the requirements**:- Experience within a Food & Beverage department or reservations department will be beneficial.- Good working knowledge of Opera- Experience in MS Word, Outlook & Excel- An excellent telephone manner- A pleasant disposition- Be self-motivated and be able to take initiatives- Be committed to the precise & thorough following of reservations systems & procedures- Planning, organizational and time management skills- Ability to work accurately under pressure- TEAM player with a positive attitudeInterested parties should forward their CV with contactable references and a recent photo
