Material, Corrosion & Painting Process Specialistworks on Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and EngineeringProcurement Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) Projects (mainlyin oil & gas, petrochemicals, fertilizer processing industriesand powers plants). He/She has to follow safety andcost-effectiveness criteria, Contractual requirements,International Codes and Standards. Key Activities &Responsibilities: -Review of contractual documentations -MATERIALSELECTION including: - corrosion rate evaluation or calculation asper literature data and / or corrosion software - selection ofproper material grade (i.e. low alloy, CRA, etc.) along withcorrosion allowance - definition of requirements (chemicalcomposition restriction, heat treatment conditions and/or corrosiontesting, installation of insulation kit, etc.) for specificcorrosive fluids (i.e. sour service HIC/SSC, high temperaturehydrogen attack, amine, etc.) - review of laboratory corrosiontesting procedures -PROTECTIVE COATING / LINING (atmosphericcorrosion, internal lining, buried and submerged surfaces)including hot dip galvanizing, thermal spray coating, etc. Thisduty includes: - definition of technical specifications - review ofVendor documentation - coating pre-job meeting at applicationworkshops / site - audit at laboratories for accelerated corrosiontests; - spot inspections during and after application; -CORROSIONMONITORING requires the following: - identification of probe typessuitable for corrosive process; - installation place of probes andcoupon; - define of the threshold limits / acceptance criteriabased on probes selected; -CATHODIC PROTECTION: general protectioncriteria and design by SACP and ICCP; -RISK BASED INSPECTIONrequires the following: - basic knowledge of the methodology; -ability to manage the third party and contractual requirements inorder to prepare all the deliverables requested such as: inspectionplan (CML), corrosion loops marked up, etc.; -CORROSION INHIBITION/ CHEMICAL TREATMENT in order to manage the corrosion phenomena-CHEMICAL CLEANING in order to meet proper process requirement;-ASSISTANCE, providing support during design phases, constructionand commissioning in the operating center and/or at site based onthe project needs. Personal Attributes: - Masters degree inIndustrial Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, Material Science orsimilar technical field; - Material and Metallurgical backgroundwith knowledge of material selection for application inpetrochemical, power, fertilizing and oil & gas industry; -fluent in English; - availability to travel at site and/or vendorworkshop on the basis of Company needs; - 3 5 years of experienceis a preferred requirement.
