Tasks
- Manage a well-established proprietary trading desk (5 FTE) focused on European physical and financial energy markets (power, gas, emissions)
- Oversee a relevant origination book (FLOW) deriving from sales and trading counterparties
- Generate substantial margins from speculative activities. Maximize return on VaR, while complying with assigned limits (VaR, trailing stop loss, credit, cash flow)
- Foster knowledge sharing and collaboration with Repower''s Trading Desk in Milan
- Support Repower''s Asset Trading team and Portfolio Management with fundamental views and market insights
- Liaise with Risk Management and Back Office for optimizing credit risk management, cash collateral and FX
- Develop ongoing knowledge and expertise in all markets where Repower is active and pursue new market opportunities
- Operational maintenance of all market access services for internal and external clients, coordination with vendors and collaboration in the development of new trading services
- Participation in trading projects
Requirements
- 10+ years'' experience in energy trading in European markets on a proprietary basis (Gas & Power)
- Proven track record of achieving successful and consistent proprietary trading results
- Previous experience in leading trading teams as Trading Manager or Lead Trader
- Extensive network of contacts within European commodity trading
- Knowledge of a programming language such as Python is an asset
- Willingness to learn Italian language (and ideally German)
- Willingness to relocate to Poschiavo, Switzerland
