In addition to at least 5 years recent post-related experience, the incumbent will possess:3+ years of experience in Linux and Microsoft Windows system managementProficiency in scripting languages (Linux and PowerShell)Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware)Experience in integrating Linux services into a Windows environmentAgile and timely response in dynamic environmentsService-oriented mindset and user support interestDesirable Qualifications/Experience:Knowledge of load balancing and firewallsProficiency in configuration management tools (SCCM, Ansible, Puppet, Chef)Ability to develop technical solutions for computing resource usageProject leadership experienceExperience in implementing security controls (NCSC, NIST SP-800, ISO 27001)Experience with Cisco Networking, EMC SANExperience in international, multi-element environmentsSkills in using monitoring tools for problem analysis and performance issuesExpertise in Centrify management and PowerShell scripting for automationExperience with GIT for code managementDUTIES/ROLE:Implement operational procedures for infrastructure configuration, installation, and maintenance. Utilize management tools for monitoring performance and automating infrastructure processes. Participate in maintenance and installation work, conduct system backups, and restore data as needed. Identify and resolve operational issues.Manage system software updates, tailor software for optimal hardware performance, install and test new software versions. Address service problems, maintain operational documentation, and advise on system software usage.Administer Hardware (HW) and Software (SW) for Microsoft Windows (2016+ versions) and Linux-based servers (RHEL) and desktops (Windows 10+, RHEL), along with major network services like Active Directory.Develop scripts to streamline system administration tasks.Support release management plans, including rollout and rollback strategies, and conduct preventive maintenance.Prepare technical and service documentation for assigned systems and support infrastructure.Provide second-tier System Administration support, coordinate with Service Desk to enhance support efficiency, including training for first-tier support staff.Proactively monitor systems, report performance issues or downtime, and advise management on necessary actions to improve system performance.Stay informed about IT technology and trends for advanced user support.Perform other related duties as required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
