We specialize in designing, producing, and maintaining components and systems for civil and military aviation.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will support the design teams throughout the entire product lifecycle (NPI and fielded products) by collaborating with Avio Aero Sections and GE Aerospace sites to:Contribute to defining and executing certification plans for NPI and modifications, ensuring initial airworthiness.Assist cross-functional teams in resolving manufacturing, supplier, or field issues to maintain continued airworthiness.Participate in cost reduction, problem solving, and quality improvement initiatives.Meet NPI milestones.Ensure timely delivery of internal and external customer requests.Prepare and present at technical reviews.Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with Airworthiness Authorities and industry working groups to stay at the forefront of Airworthiness and Certification standards, anticipating and applying new technologies relevant to current and future business opportunities. They will also assess the impact of innovative technologies on certification, focusing on regulatory and technological maturity.When necessary, the candidate will work with ODA - Regulation & Certification Engineers (RCEs) for FAA-regulated programs and contribute to the Companys Independent System Monitoring (ISM) during audits.Qualifications/RequirementsMasters degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.Experience in an engineering role.Strong knowledge of turbomachinery, rotorcraft, and relevant design requirements.Basic understanding of EU regulatory requirements (CS-E, CS-27, CS-29) and EASA Part-21 principles.Familiarity with machining processes (drilling, turning, milling, etc.).Knowledge of GE Aerospace / GE Avio products and organization.Continuous learning mindset and system thinking approach.Problem-solving skills.Self-motivated and proactive.Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a dynamic, international environment.Fluent in English and Italian (spoken and written).Work visa in accordance with local regulations is required.Desired CharacteristicsKnowledge of US FAA regulations (FAR).Familiarity with international standards and design criteria.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Passionate, curious, and enthusiastic about engineering challenges.What we offerWe promote smart working and work-life balance, supporting remote work when possible.
