Project Manager Solar PV (Hybrid | Milan, Italy)

Were supporting a forward thinking solar developer and asset owner as they look to bring on a Project Manager in Milan to help deliver their growing portfolio of utility scale solar PV projects across Italy.
This is a hybrid role, blending remote flexibility with 2-3 days per week in a modern Milan office.
Youll join a passionate team committed to accelerating the energy transition, without the red tape of a big corporate.
What You''ll Be Doing:
- Leading the full project lifecycle for utility scale solar PV developments, from early stage planning through to commissioning and handover
- Coordinating permitting, procurement, engineering, and construction teams to keep everything moving smoothly and efficiently
- Acting as the main point of contact for contractors, local authorities, and internal stakeholders, ensuring everyones aligned
- Managing budgets, timelines, and risk, and keeping reporting up to date
- Overseeing EPC contractors, grid connection works, and quality assurance on site (with occasional site visits)
- Supporting tendering and contract negotiations where required
What Youll Bring:
- 3+ years of project management experience in the solar sector or broader renewable energy space
- Strong knowledge of Italian permitting and grid connection processes
- Experience working with or managing EPC contractors and third-party consultants
- Confident using project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel, or similar)
- Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken
- An engineering or technical degree would be a plus, but solid PM experience in solar is what really counts
