Youth WorkerSign On Bonus $1250.00Children ServicesEliot''s 24 hour program for DCF assigned children is seeking a Group Care Worker I for their STARR and Group Home program.**Responsibilities**:1. Support youth by being involved in assisting in the gathering of information to be utilized in comprehensive strengths and needs based assessment and treatment planning.2. Provide interventions and skill building opportunities with the youth and family in the program, home and in the community.3. Support youth in transition to next placement including foster home, independent living, etc.4. Serve as an active member of the youths treatment team.5. Commit to the principles of Wraparound and practice within a Family Driven and Youth Guided framework that embraces Family Voice and Choice.6. Become trained in The Building Bridges, Trauma Informed Care and ARC (Attachment, Self Regulation and Competency) and use these models within all aspects of the work.7. Provide linkages to ongoing community treatment and support services, ranging from traditional services such as medication and individual therapy to less traditional services such as mentors, tutoring and transportation.8. Coordinate and execute the plan of the day in accordance with program, DCF, DMH, DEEC and ECHS policies and procedures.9. Serve as person in charge of designated shifts.10. Participate in the development and implementation of Individual Action Plans (IAP)**Schedule**: Sunday-Tuesday 2 PM10 PM, Friday and Saturday 6-2, Days off Wednesday and Thursday**Pay**: $13.00 per hour*$250.00 sign on bonus at the end of the new hires training cycle.$500.00 upon completion of 6 months service from a new hires start date.$500.00 upon completion of 1 year service from a new hires start date.**Requirements**:BA/BS in related field and at least two year related experience with similar populations and their families in short and long term community-based settings including home, school and placement preferred. Must be willing to provideyouth with concurrent opportunities to identify, learn and practice skills in placement and in the home. Computer literacy and skill in the use of computers and related software applications.
