What Youll Do as General Manager

You''ll be the captain of the ship keeping things running smoothly while building a warm, welcoming, and fun atmosphere for guests and staff alike. Heres a snapshot of your day-to-day:

• Manage the hostel and its bar (a key space for our community!).
• Take care of budgets, monitor performance, and make things more efficient.
• Review business activities and drive better financial results.
• Set goals, forecast results, and report to HQ in Madrid.
• Develop strategies to take the hostel to the next level.
• Boost sales, brand reputation, and team productivity.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee purchasing and supplier relations.

• Has excellent communication skills.
• Is a proactive problem-solver with great attention to detail.
• Has experience working with different kinds of travelers and groups.
• Loves working with people and brings a positive, collaborative vibe.
• Believes creating unforgettable guest experiences is what really matters.

What You Bring

• Previous experience as a General Manager or in a similar hospitality leadership role.
• A high school diploma or equivalent (hospitality-related education is a plus!).
• Strong spoken and written English (extra languages? Yes, please!).
• Experience with MEWS or similar PMS is highly valued.
