The Role: Accounting Associate (Luxembourg) They are looking for an Accounting Associate to join their growing European operations. This role offers a high degree of autonomy and variety, supporting one of the world''s top distressed investment platforms, while working closely with the service provider and colleagues across accounting, operations, and compliance. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a flat structure, enjoys meaningful work without micromanagement, and values work-life balance. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and review financial statements and BCL reports with service provider Track fund activities (not general ledger entries) and monitor investment data Manage liquidity in line with policy Review and support board minute documentation and transaction closings Assist in cross-border regulatory filings and investment registrations Reconcile positions, accruals, and cash across a variety of financial products Contribute to AML/KYC processes (with support from the US compliance team) Support ad hoc corporate, compliance, and administrative tasks Engage in a wide range of accounting-related functions (~60-70% of the role), while contributing across operations and paralegal tasks What They''re Looking For Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in fund administration or investment environments Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication Excellent analytical and Excel skills; ability to work with large datasets Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal oversight Adaptable, curious, and eager to learn across functions (accounting, treasury, compliance, operations) Comfortable taking ownership in a flexible, structure-oriented setting Experience with fund liquidations, regulatory reporting, or transactional closings is a plus This role is not suited for individuals who are solely focused on traditional accounting tasks or who require extensive oversight and rigidly defined processes.
