A Japanese manufacturer has an exciting opportunity for a Service Engineer.

The Service Engineer will act as the first point of contact for aftersales topics for their customers. Whether the customer is facing technical issues, requires training, or wants to upgrade their system, they will reach out to you.

TYPE: Full-time role
WORKING HOURS: 38.5 hours per week
SALARY: 60k including bonus + Business Trip Allowance + overtime scheme
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Full-remote in Germany (Frequent business trips within EMEA, especially the southern part of Germany)

Service Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Technical support:
    • The majority of the role will initially consist of providing technical support.
    • Installation of their products and software upgrades at customers, focusing on the DACH, BENELUX, South Europe area (installation normally takes about 2-3 weeks).
    • Supporting remote and on-site troubleshooting for all customers.
  2. Technical training:
    • Providing and maintaining technical training modules for our end-users. These modules can range from unpacking and installation to preventive maintenance and repair tasks.
  3. User training:
    • Providing and maintaining user training for our end-users. These modules can range from first start-up training up to masterclasses.

Service Engineer Ideal Candidate:

  1. At least 2 years relevant service experience of mechatronics products (ideally industrial machine).
  2. Demonstrated ability to grow our services activities.
  3. Fluent in English and German; a second language is advantageous.
  4. Flexibility for frequent business trips, including overnight stays.
  5. Applicants based in the southern region of Stuttgart are advantageous.
  6. Strong presentation skills, in face-to-face, videoconference, or webinar setups, familiar with social and digital media.

Note: All applicants for the Service Engineer must have the right to work in Germany as the company is not able to offer visa support.
