Data Center Technician - Mons - temporary mission of 6months Your new role Our client is seeking a Data Center OperationsSpecialist to join their team. You will perform core data centeroperations and deployment tasks, such as maintenance, machineoperations, networking, and media security, with day-to-dayguidance. This role involves basic troubleshooting, problemidentification, and executing operational procedures. You will alsowork alongside technicians to install, troubleshoot, and maintainservers, networking equipment, and cabling. This can sometimes be aphysically demanding job. Responsibilities: Perform data centeroperations and deployment tasks. Fix broken servers (e.g., replacehard drives, RAM). Crimp and run Data Center cabling. Learn andapply diagnostic methods to troubleshoot Data Center equipment.Physically move and rack equipment. Execute operational proceduresand follow security policies. Communicate with software engineersto resolve issues and escalate as needed. Report issues,troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment or infrastructure problems.Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and infrastructure.Support Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and complianceprograms. Your profile Knowledge of and hands-on experience withcomputer hardware. Knowledge of data security systems, computernetworking (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS), and physical networkingcomponents (e.g., fiber, cables, routers). Ability to learn newsoftware quickly. Comfortable working in a physically demandingenvironment. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
