Support the production of timely management information and reports as required by the Sales Operational and Finance teams. Further analysis of information requirements and the creation of the necessary scripts required to produce the information in an accurate and effective manner. Optimizing existing queries in as efficient as possible manner as well as maintaining, a detailed reporting inventory and list of procedures linked to producing all current and future management information. Involvement and active participation in further developments regarding the PFNL data environment landscape.
Responsibilities:
1: Reporting
- Responsible for delivery of the regular Sales and Operations reports and Finance reports
- Delivery of all current reports in-line with the reporting frequency business needs
- For new reports, define together with stakeholders the requirement and needs
- Prioritize urgency and develop new reporting requirements without duplication of current reports
- Implement agreed changes and push to the production environment
- Communicate outcome to stakeholders
2: Governance and Control
- Maintain the relevant processes including general governance (i.e. reporting inventory, documentation up to date production environment)
- Strict adherence to internal processes, principles and guidelines in use within BNP Paribas
- Update script process descriptions continuously
- Update reporting inventory and working instruction required to produce after approval of manager
- Adjust documentation after process and procedural changes
3: Projects Innovation
- Involvement in projects that affect the reporting landscape
- Pro-actively identify opportunities to optimize the existing environment, specifically script optimization end-user requirement validation for existing reports where possible to reduce run-time and data replication
- Implementation of tools to assist reporting requirements
4: Other activities
- Execution of ad hoc requests of head of planning control
- Back up for colleagues and execution of tasks on temporary basis
- Communication within the team and other stakeholders to finalize the tasks
Job requirements:
- Minimum bachelor degree
- Work experience in SAS programming, SQL programming, Microsoft SQL Server 2000 databases
- Demonstrated proficiency in using standard office software applications
- Able to communicate fluently in English (mandatory) and Dutch (optional)
- Project management experience a big plus
- Knowledge and/or working experience with other programming languages a plus
- Work experience in the banking/financial sector and/or international environment is a plus
