Job Purpose:

The role involves supporting the Chief Operating & Business Management Officer in managing risks and ensuring operational compliance, ensuring the business adheres to all relevant laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities include implementing and monitoring Group and PIB Italia risk and compliance policies, ensuring their effectiveness. This also involves overseeing key systems and controls, providing reports and management information (MI) to confirm their proper functioning.

The role ensures compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, manages regulatory due diligence on potential acquisition targets, and oversees the risk and compliance workstream during integrations. Acting as a constructive advisor, it includes conducting targeted reviews on risk and regulatory topics for the Italian business.

On the legal side, the role manages contracts with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders, ensuring their accuracy and alignment with regulations. Lastly, it provides legal and compliance support during due diligence processes for potential acquisitions.

What Will a Typical Day Look Like?

• Support the Chief Operating & Business Management Officer and the business manage risk and operational compliance through the provision of advice and by undertaking core risk and compliance activities to help ensure the business complies with relevant laws and regulation
• Ensure both Group and PIB Italia risk and compliance policies and procedures are implemented and effective within the business
• Work collaboratively with the Head of Risk and Compliance Europe and Group Risk & Compliance, escalating key issues and risks to senior management in a timely manner.
• Manage all legal topics with clients, sales, insurers, and stakeholders, liaising with the company''s Legal Advisor and relevant authorities.
• Lead workshops and training sessions on risk management and corporate insurance best practices.
• Leverage the international resources of PIB Group to enhance client solutions.
• Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with IVASS and EU regulatory frameworks (IDD, AMLD).
• Support due diligence and integration processes for new acquisitions.

Skills and Experience That Will Lead to Success:

• At least 5 years of experience in risk and compliance management, ideally in insurance or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of IVASS regulations and EU compliance frameworks (IDD, AMLD, ESG).
• Proven ability to implement compliance policies and manage regulatory changes.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and digital tools for risk management.
• Fluency in English and Italian; other languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel within Italy and internationally as required.
