Join to apply for the Service Engineer role at IBA Proton Therapy2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.Challenges we trust you withAs Field Service Engineer - Proton Therapy, you play a key role in IBAs mission to treat cancer patients.You are responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of IBA equipment and systems (hardware and software) on IBA or customer''s sites, ensuring delivery within defined timelines of a reliable, high-quality product that meets performance and customer satisfaction standards.You also participate in maintenance and operations of IBA equipment at IEO Proton Therapy Center in Milan. You are based on-site but open to travel for training and support. You report to the Site Manager and work with a team of 5.Responsibilities include:Technical ownership of site subsystems based on area expertiseMaintaining and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and software issuesTesting and repairing equipment/systems per technical specificationsUpgrading and improving systems in collaboration with R&DEnsuring high-quality, state-of-the-art technologies/servicesProposing solutions to enhance reliability, stability, and operabilityPreparing and setting up equipment daily for clinical operationsOperating equipment and supporting medical staff during daily useDocumenting activities, maintenance, and incidents using IT toolsMaintaining accurate records as per facility requirementsCommunicating with internal and external clientsWhat We ValueYou have:A technical bachelors or masters degree in electronics, mechatronics, automation, or telecommunicationsAlternatively, a technical high school diploma with solid industrial experience in maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting electrical equipmentProficiency in Italian and English (verbal and written)Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills for root cause analysisA broad technical interest and hands-on motivationYou also are:Customer-orientedProactive and hands-onCapable of following rules and deadlinesEager to learn and update knowledge in Electronics, Software, Hardware, Beam Physics, Medical Applications, etc.Willing to share expertiseTeam player with strong interpersonal skillsFlexible, willing to work rotating shifts, including mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekendsWhy join us?Support the fight against cancer by working with cutting-edge proton therapy technology.
