Our client, an intergovernmental institution is looking for a Sustainability Analyst for a temporary assignment of six months, with the possibility of extending up to a total of 12 months.
Key responsabilities :
- Liaise with key stakeholders of the organization to lead cross departmental ESG initiatives, project concepts, objectives and execution approach;
- Pro-actively drive forward ESG-related workstreams in consultation and collaboration with colleagues from various divisions.
- Organise project meetings and prepare topics to be presented for decision-making by senior management. Coordinate with external consultants and advisors, manage internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to the organization''s continuous improvement of its ESG framework, closely liaising with other relevant departments.
- Support, coordinate and provide technical expertise in the preparation of the annual carbon footprint report of the organization, and other ESG reporting efforts e.g. those related to the United Nations backed Principles for Responsible Investment (UN-PRI).
- Monitor and benchmark ESG best practices in this context, including reviews of peer practices at EU and at international financial institutions, and support the preparation of relevant background notes and presentations.
- Prepare timely and effective communication and information exchanges with internal and external stakeholders as required for the successful delivery of the respective projects.
- Conduct research and prepare ESG-related briefings, research notes and policies, and relevant presentation materials as required.
- Create ESG-related content for the orgnanization''s website, intranet, newsletters, and various publications prepared by CG&IP.
- Provide general support on any other assigned projects, initiatives and perform ad-hoc tasks as needed.
Key background and experience :
- Advanced university degree, preferably with a specialization in business, economics, or any other relevant topic for this position
- At least 2 years'' experience, including previous traineeships, in related fields (a previous experience in sustainable finance is considered an asset) a maximum of 8 years'' experience.
- Prior project management and coordination experience would be considered an asset;
- Good understanding of financial markets and institutions
- Good understanding of European affairs as well as EU sustainable finance framework and related policy developments would be an asset
- Good understanding of key ESG/climate change reporting frameworks (e.g. UN-PRI) or carbon footprint measurement and reporting would be an asset
- Certifications in project management are considered an asset
- Proven experience working with Excel and developing and maintaining various analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent oral and written English skills, any other additional language would be an asset.
