This opportunity is designed for professionals eager to contribute to impactful projects that support international collaboration and enhance digital solutions within the Defense Domain.The System Engineer will operate in the context of Defense with frequent co-location at the Customer''s premises. Availability to travel and/or relocate to Brussels is therefore compulsory. The person:Will be responsible for analyzing test data, developing architecture products, and system requirements with minimal supervision.May participate in all phases of a planned BMD programme operational test, including test planning, integration, execution, result analysis, and reporting.Will support efforts such as maintaining project schedules, working with systems engineering tools, and interfacing with customers and stakeholders.Will participate in engineering activities of increasing scope and complexity, as determined by the lead engineer.This involves documentation in UK English and communication with programme office personnel, stakeholders, and National Representatives, with eventual support to military staff.RequirementsBachelors Degree in an Engineering/Technical discipline from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/education; Masters or PhD may substitute for experience.At least 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering and Integration or an equivalent role.Previous experience in Defence projects is strongly preferred.Technical CompetencesKnowledge of Systems Engineering, supported by hands-on project experience, preferably within the Defense domain (INCOSE certification is a plus).Experience in architecture development (NAF preferred), requirements and specification development, systems engineering tools, testing, missile defense domain knowledge, and international work experience.LanguagesProficiency in English is essential.Proficiency in Italian is a strong preference.Proficiency in another European Language (Dutch or French) is an asset.Computer SkillsProficiency in MS Office Suite;Knowledge of DOORS, Rhapsody, Archimate, or similar tools.Behavioral SkillsAbility to understand requirements and define cost-effective solutions.Strong work ethic, team player, mission-oriented, and pride in work.Effective communication with technical representatives and in presenting solutions.Ability to produce and review technical documentation.OtherWillingness to relocate to Belgium and travel as needed.Must be a NATO Member State national.Hold or be eligible for NOS.Seniority: JuniorPrimary Location: Italy - Rome - Via LaurentinaAdditional Locations: Belgium - Brussels, Italy - Catania, Italy - Chieti Scalo, Italy - Firenze - Campi Bisenzio, Italy - Genoa - FiumaraContract Type: International secondmentHybrid Working: Hybrid#J-18808-Ljbffr
