Job ResponsibilitiesSupervise the planning efforts of the brigade operations plans, exercises (PLEX), Force management, and system integration section.Review service and Intelligence discipline planning documents and directives to ensure compliance with governing legal statutes and directives.Support the 207th MIB - T participation via the Army Service Component Command (ASCC) in Joint Force Provider (JFP) activities and in Joint Staff directed Global Force Management processes.Represent the Brigade at meetings and conferences held at DOD, DA, other ASCCs, AFRICOM, embassies, other Services, and other Agencies.Provide supervision and operational direction to a staff of military and civilian multifunctional personnel.RequirementsTwo-year trial / probationary period may be required.Must pass urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter, in accordance with AR 600-85.This is a KEY position and cannot be vacated during national emergency or mobilization without impairing command capability; designated as emergency essential.Must file a statement of employment and financial interests as required by AR 600-50.Must file a Confidential Disclosure Report (SF 450) within 30 days of occupancy and annually thereafter.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for SCI.Temporary Duty (TDY) travel required 25% or less of the time.QualificationsMust meet experience requirements: at least one year of experience at the GG / GS-13 level or equivalent, with experience in planning, coordinating, developing, and executing operations within Contingency Planning.Experience in two of the following areas: Force Management, Strategic Capabilities Planning, National Security Strategy, or Long Range Planning Guidance.For qualification, experience must be demonstrated in your resume; no substitution of education is permitted.Competencies include Leadership, Organizational Awareness, Planning, and Evaluating.Who May ApplyVarious veteran and civilian categories, including disabled veterans, current Army and DoD civilians, and those eligible through priority placement programs.Additional NotesOverseas employees and their families may have limited access to medical and dental facilities, which are on a space-available, reimbursable basis.
