To support fleet department, they are currently looking for a system & design integration engineer.
As a System & Design Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for taking on complex engineering projects and contributing to the development of the next generation of ships and mission equipment.
Below is a sample of your duties:
- You will take on multidisciplinary designs while diving into specialised engineering designs for the concept and basic design phase of new build and conversion projects of ships.
- Close collaboration with internal teams for seamless integration of systems and equipment across the fleet.
- Design and development of ships, hull structures, on-board systems and mission equipment.
- Perform detailed structural, hydrodynamic and stability analyses.
- Design of systems such as electrical power plants, automation systems and auxiliary installations.
- Ensuring that all designs comply with classification society standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define functional descriptions and technical specifications.
- Support the procurement process by validating compatibility with system designs.
- Introducing innovative, sustainable and cost-effective solutions to improve ship performance.
- Oversee system integration, from design to commissioning, to ensure seamless functionality.
- Working closely with design agencies, production teams and test facilities to validate concepts.
- Prepare clear technical documentation, risk assessments and design reports.
Profile
- Master''s degree in naval architecture, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or automation.
- Strong technical background and analytical skills.
- Practical experience in performing complex and multidisciplinary engineering scopes and system integration.
- Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced project environment.
- Excellent communicator and team player with a solution-oriented attitude.
- Responsible, action-driven and committed to technical excellence.
- You speak English very well. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
- Willing to travel occasionally for on-site support and commissioning.
