For our logistics team in Schelle, Belgium, we are currently recruiting a motivated Transport Planner.
Position Purpose
As a Transport Planner, you manage transport planning for your assigned regions and support other areas in Europe. You optimize routes, reduce costs, and collaborate with partners to enhance logistics and customer satisfaction across our European operations.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the transport planning of our assets primarily within the regions assigned to you, as well as back-up for other regions in Europe.
- You liaise with our logistical partners and internal stakeholders.
- You optimize routes and transport, reducing freight spend and carbon footprint.
- You proactively work towards maximizing our service level, customer satisfaction and achieving departmental and personal objectives.
- As Transport Planner, you are part of an enthusiastic European team that works together on the continuous improvement and optimization of our logistics across Europe.
Education and experience
- You obtained training as an industrial clerk, office management assistant or acquired equivalent knowledge through experience in a Customer Support position. Motivation, passion for transportation and logistics, and the ability to learn are more important than years of experience.
Skills
- Excellent Dutch & English skills, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Spanish/Italian/French is considered a plus.
- You are well organized, and you take care of your administration in a transparent and efficient way.
- You show initiative and you have a healthy level of self-confidence.
- You have thorough knowledge of the MS Office applications with a focus on Excel.
- You are an enthusiastic team player, and you bring a positive attitude to the entire Tosca team.
