Our international defence client is looking for a Senior DevOps Architect to work fully on site in The Hague, the Netherlands. This would be an initial 12 month contract with long term extensions and an active SC/NATO clearance is required before starting the position. Job Summary The Senior DevOps Engineer Architect is responsible for designing and governing the automation frameworks, DevSecOps toolchains, and deployment pipelines that support the delivery of scalable, secure, and compliant Software-Defined Data Centers (SDDCs). This role establishes architectural standards and automation strategiesincluding the use of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and Terraform but does not directly author infrastructure code such as playbooks or Terraform modules. Instead, it enables and governs development teams through standardised, reusable, and scalable automation frameworks. Key Responsibilities Architect and govern the automation platform strategy for deploying infrastructure across globally distributed sites using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) with execution environments Define and maintain DevSecOps automation architecture standards for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC), and CI/CD Design and oversee implementation of CI/CD pipelines to: Validate reusable infrastructure modules (Ansible Collections, Terraform Modules) Test end-to-end playbooks and tfScripts Orchestrate complex workflows to deploy entire datacenters from hardware to hosted services Provide high-level architectural design and implementation guidance documentation (HLDs/LLDs) Work with security stakeholders to ensure alignment with NATO and mission-specific compliance frameworks
