About our Client Our client is an independent, data driven and fast growing asset management company and hedge-fund growing towards their ambition of becoming a FinTech company. They have positioned themselves as a niche player in developing a unique mix of quantitative and fundamental investment strategies over the last decade. They use a self-developed multi-factor valuation system with machine learning and artificial intelligence that continuously looks at which companies are the most attractive in terms of valuation. The unique man machine investment concept enables the Portfolio Management Department to realize high Sharpe ratios. This department processes several million data items per day through a layered system of several hundred programmed investment decisions. Your Role To support the expansion and growth and reach their ambition of growing towards a FinTech company we are currently recruiting for a Senior .NET Developer with Azure experience to join the IT team and mainly focus on designing, developing, and deploying web applications (portals), with a focus on leveraging Microsoft Azure''s cloud services. You will also participate in the transformation of migrating the IT Data Infrastructure to Azure cloud, with the clear goal of making the environment scalable and future proof. Your Skills and Expertise: Core ASP.NET 4.8 Developer Skills NET Framework 4.8 Proficiency Strong understanding of the .NET Framework architecture. Experience with Web Forms, MVC, or both (depending on the application). Mastery of C# and/or VB.NET. ASP.NET Web Development Web Forms or MVC (depending on the project). Server-side controls, view state management, postback handling. pipeline, session and application state. Frontend Integration HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. Familiarity with AJAX and client-side validation frameworks. Entity Framework / ADO.NET Database-first or code-first development. Writing efficient LINQ queries and stored procedures. SQL Server proficiency (T-SQL, performance tuning, indexing). Authentication Authorization Forms Authentication, Windows Authentication, Claims-based auth. Role-based access control (RBAC). Debugging and Testing Visual Studio debugging tools. Unit testing frameworks (NUnit, MSTest). Postman/Fiddler for API testing. Azure Skills (for Deployment, DevOps, and App Management) Azure App Services Deploying ASP.NET apps to Azure App Services. Configuring web.config for cloud settings. Using deployment slots for staging/production workflows. Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for ASP.NET apps. Build and release pipelines with MSBuild and Visual Studio projects. Azure Storage Databases Working with Azure SQL Database. Using Blob/Table storage where relevant. Monitoring Diagnostics Azure Monitor, Application Insights. Diagnosing performance issues and exceptions. Networking and Identity Azure Active Directory integration. VNETs, NSGs, App Gateway if app interacts with secured resources. Containers Legacy Modernization (Bonus) If modernizing ASP.NET 4.8 apps: knowledge of running on Windows Containers in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or App Service for Windows. Soft Skills: Strong understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns. Familiarity with legacy code refactoring. Good documentation and communication skills. Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban) experience. Your Profile Minimum HBO level University degree in Computer Science or a comparable study 5+ years of experience in ASP.NET development with a focus on web applications. 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms. A solid portfolio of past projects, showcasing both technical skills and contributions to large-scale web applications.
