As part of the owner''s engineering team, the Lead Piping Engineer will be responsible for overseeing piping design activities during the FEED or Basic Engineering phase, ensuring alignment with project specifications, international standards, and client expectations.Key Responsibilities:* Lead and manage all piping engineering activities related to the Hydrodesulfurization (HDS) unit during the FEED or Basic Engineering phase.* Review and approve piping layout, isometric drawings, pipe stress analysis, material specifications, and line lists submitted by the FEED contractor.* Ensure compliance with applicable international codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.3, API, ISO).* Coordinate closely with process, mechanical, civil, and instrumentation disciplines to ensure design consistency and interface alignment.* Participate in design reviews, 3D model reviews, and constructability assessments.* Monitor contractor performance, resolve technical issues, and ensure deliverables are submitted on time and meet project quality standards.* Provide technical support to the client team in Rome, acting as a key liaison between the client and engineering contractors.Qualifications* Bachelor''s degree (B.S.) or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized university.* Minimum of 8 years of experience in a piping engineering role on major oil and gas or refining projects, including FEED or Basic Engineering phases.* In-depth knowledge of international piping design codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ASTM, API).* Strong background in piping materials, layout design, and pipe stress analysis.* Proven experience in working with 3D design tools (e.g., SmartPlant 3D, PDMS) is a plus.* Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Italian or French is considered a plus.* Strong technical coordination, communication, and leadership skills.Additional InformationAt SEGULA Technologies, diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the heart of our human resources policy.
