About the team you are joining
Reporting to the Tech Lead, Cloud Engineering, you will primarily be responsible for IATAs Cloud Infrastructure, ITOperations and management of the providers that are running AWS workloads onbehalf of IATA. You will be joining a team of highly skilled engineers that ispart of IATAs Information & Data (I&D) division. You will also need toensure adherence to IATAs Unified Infrastructure standards and suggestimprovements to the overall DevSecOps lifecycle of the organization.
What your day would be like
- Day to day running of IATA AWS and On-Premises infrastructures;
- Monitor and finetune AWS performance and costs.
- Work on cloud engineering issues and tickets in IATA ITSM tool.
- Troubleshoot OS and application problems.
- Participate in projects and RFPs that require cloud Infrastructure and hosting or general IT operational needs.
- Participate in planning, implementation, and growth of the infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Enhance the foundations of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and deliver well-architected implementations based on business and technical requirements
- Manage the relationship with Application Support Teams, which includes external vendors, with new application onboarding and daily operations.
- Manage full application stacks from the OS through custom applications using Amazon cloud-based computing environments.
- Maintain IATAs existing AD infrastructure including Azure EntraID
- Maintain IATAs existing DNS infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain automation tools including Terraform, ArgoCD, Helm, UiPath and others.
- Manage a continuous integration/continuous deployment methodology for the server-based technologies.
- Work with engineering and architecture teams to design and implement scalable software services.
- Follow all best practices and procedures as established by IATA as part of the Unified Infrastructure.
We would love to hear from you if
- Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, IS, or equivalent area of technical study (IT experience can substitute for a bachelor''s degree).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Amazon Web Services: building environments with services such as EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, EKS, etc. AWS Certification will be a strong advantage.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
- Hands-on experience with GCP services such as storage, Cloud APIs, VPC, etc. Certification on GCP will be an advantage
- Experience in DevOps tools such as Terraform to deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure, Bitbucket, ArgoCD, Helm etc.
- Experience in Linux operating systems and scripting with PowerShell, Python or similar.
- Ability to train others on technical and procedural topics.
- A team player capable of demonstrating flexibility and motivation in a dynamic international environment.
