The Service Engineer provides support on ORTEC products, fostering relations with customers and Service Centers. The aim is to satisfy customers, sustain ORTEC business growth and promote AMETEK values.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support for ORTEC customers in Italy, essential activities include:
- Installation and testing of new products and of products after repair
- System fault diagnosis and troubleshooting (lab/onsite)
- System routine maintenance and calibration
- System performance analysis, QA and reporting
- Customers support (remote/onsite)
- Hardware and software training
- Fulfil and promote Service Contracts to ensure customers satisfaction and expand ORTEC business within Italian territory
- Help in managing internal service activities (comply with the internal procedures, maintain documentation, follow shipments, check repairs status)
- Report all service activities on a regular basis to the Service Manager
- Ensure all customers problems or complaints are resolved quickly and effectively
- Keep contacts with Service Centres (UK/US) and Technical Support Group
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant degree or technical high school diploma (Physics, Nuclear Physics or Nuclear Engineering)
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Willingness to travel throughout Italy, up 60% of working days
- Fluency in English and Italian
- Computer literacy and experience with MS Office, Excel
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
