About the Role
We are partnering with a global contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) seeking a Technical Services Director to join the site leadership team at their facility in France.
The Technical Services Director will play a pivotal role in leading tech transfers, validation, and industrial strategy. You will ensure the seamless integration of new products, manage critical projects, and support continuous improvement efforts that elevate operational performance and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of technical transfers from global partners into the site, ensuring on-time, compliant integration of new products and processes.
- Oversee process validation, technology scale-up, and the alignment of technical documentation with GMP and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure technical readiness for product launches and lifecycle changes.
- Define and manage the site''s multi-year capital investment plan related to technical innovation and capacity expansion.
- Act as a technical authority during audits, regulatory inspections, and customer interactions.
- Embed a culture of continuous improvement, driving process optimization and efficiency initiatives.
- Support quality investigations, deviation management, and CAPA implementation from a technical perspectivees
- Promote and enforce HSE and Quality compliance within the scope of technical services.
Your Background
- Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Pharmacy, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment.
- Proven success managing tech transfers, validation projects, and cross-functional technical initiatives.
- Deep understanding of EU/FDA GMP and regulatory expectations for manufacturing and technical operations.
- Fluent in French and English.
- Strong communication, project management, and leadership skills.
