As our Project Manager, youll be at the core of our Research and Development efforts and subsidy-funded collaborations, guiding both technical and research-driven projects from concept to completion, ensuring successful delivery to clients, grant providers, and project partners.

Key Responsibilities

This role is critical to managing and delivering high-profile internal and external projects, particularly within the realm of research and innovation. You will be responsible for project planning and development including proposal writing, execution, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment with Q*Birds strategic goals. This position requires strong leadership, organization, and a deep interest in quantum (network) technology.

Project Acquisition & Planning

• Develop project proposals, particularly for research initiatives, and secure buy-in from internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with technical and research teams to define objectives, scope, and budgets.
• Align project goals with Q*Birds broader roadmap ensuring synergy between research and development efforts.

Project Execution & Delivery

• Manage project resources, ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution.
• Oversee internal teams and external partners, facilitating seamless collaboration.
• Conduct stakeholder meetings and maintain clear communication channels.
• Identify and mitigate risks proactively.

Reporting & Communication

• Provide regular project updates to leadership, highlighting progress, challenges, and solutions.
• Ensure compliance with subsidy providers and research funding bodies through structured reporting.
• Lead the research teams, fostering an environment of innovation and efficiency.

Your Profile

• Bachelors or Masters degree in science, engineering, business, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in project management, preferably in R&D or deep-tech environments.
• Experience managing research projects, including coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with research funding requirements.
• Proven ability to manage complex international projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate with academic institutions and industry partners.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Excel).
• Effective written and verbal communication in English. Dutch is a plus.
• Familiarity with quantum technology or a strong interest in the field is a plus.
