This position requires evening, weekend and holiday availability as well as flexibility with location/travel.**Responsibilities**:Greet patients with a friendly smile, assist patients with signing in and completing paperworkEnter demographic and insurance information and scan documents into the patients Electronic Medical RecordVerify insurance eligibility and benefit informationCollect payments and inform patients about insurance benefitsAnswer incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner; direct calls and take messages.Faxing, filing and other administrative duties as needed.Scheduling appointments for patients and obtaining authorization for diagnostic testing.Sending patient''s records to Primary Care Physician**Qualifications**:High School diploma required; Associates Degree or some college coursework completed preferredKnowledge of insurance carriers and managed care plans, and EMR experience preferredStrong computer skillsEagerness to learn and grow within the medical fieldMedical office experience preferred; Urgent Care experience highly desiredProHEALTH strives to maintain a workplace that accepts and appreciates the differences among our employees.
