The Strategic Buyer is responsible both for settingand developing the strategy for a specific group or category andmanaging the associated suppliers. This includes overseeing theentire external supply chain from the supplier to production andactively search for optimization potential in order to reduceprocurement costs, as well as ensuring that procurement processesalign with the projects needs and goals. Task &Responsabilities - Lead/coordinate negotiation of all major projectpurchases in commodities defined, utilizing available departmentresources as assigned by supervisor and working withinbusiness-unit. - Leads and directs the operational buyer andcarries the responsibility for the level of inventory in in thecommodity group/category. - Elaboration and enforcement of suppliercontracts (NDA, quality agreements, business agreements, etc.) inthe international environment with service and developmentpartners. - Management of the supplier portfolio in the commoditygroup/category incl. supplier market analysis, benchmarks and pricenegotiations. - Project related execution of RFQs, purchase priceanalysis and negotiations including ''Supplier first evaluation''. -Responsible for achieving targets such as purchasing savings andinventory targets of the commodity group/category. - Performsupplier audit together with RA/QA. - Create monthly keyperformance indicators (KPI), evaluate and derive measures. -Perform annual risk analysis of key suppliers. - Actively supportthe plants (Manufacturing) in finding solutions to supplier issuesto enable these departments to achieve their delivery targets. -Support by solving complex complaints with suppliers and deliveryproblems. - Actively support R&D to successfully launch newproducts based on existing or new suppliers. - Maintain keysupplier and material master data. - Strive for internal processimprovements and best practices. - Ensure suppliers are preparedfor production and handle deliverables including all needed systemupdates. - Ensure compliance with procurement policies andstandards. - Create, document and implement standards to help guidethe improvement program. - Work with PM to decline suppliersoperation plan. Education Bachelor''s or Master''s degree inEngineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.Skills & Competencies - Strong negotiation and communicationskills even in difficult situations - Proficiency in MicrosoftOffice tools, ERP system SAP, Purchasing processes, negotiationstrategies and data analysis. Fluent in English and able tocommunicate at all levels in the organization. - Problem solving,proactive, energetic and good interpersonal and communicationskills and the ability to multi-task are abilities needed to do thejob properly. - Essential in this position are a cooperative,diplomatic and flexible attitude, a good dose of ambition andenthusiasm. - Flexible regarding travel Experience & Background- 3 years of experience in managing a supplier portfolio or atechnical product group in production company - Project managementexperience of international projects - Work experience in aninternational company - Previous experience in purchasing ofcomplex technical products such as pumps, fans, pneumaticcomponents, etc. Location: Via Balegante 27, 31039, Riese Pio X(TV) Department: Procurement Type of work: full time (8.00 17.00)Type of contract: Permanent Only applications with attached CVswill be evaluated Information pursuant to the New EU Regulation No.679/2016.
