Your role:
As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you are responsible for identifying, initiating, and (co-)leading optimization projects at our site in Zwevezele.
- You are responsible for optimizing our products and production processes.
- You develop improvement proposals and technical solutions and translate your ideas into realistic adjustments and improvements.
- You work closely with various departments (Production, Maintenance, Quality, Laboratory, and Engineering).
- You identify, optimize, and implement visible improvements in terms of efficiency and cost savings.
- You attend production meetings, which help you identify disruptions, bottlenecks, and efficiency losses.
- You analyze and report on the performance of our production processes.
- You are able to translate your research findings into follow-up steps for various stakeholders inside and outside the organization.
- You take ownership of your projects and actively participate in their implementation.
- You critically evaluate available data, expand data capturing where possible (in consultation with the Maintenance Manager and IT), and develop dashboards to support production managers in their decision-making.
- You research best practices, document them, and share them with the operators.
- You keep your knowledge of the latest techniques and processes up to date and share this knowledge.
- You report to the COO.
Who you are and what you bring:
- You hold an engineering degree.
- Experience in the food or process industry is a plus.
- You have a natural affinity for production processes and strong technical insight.
- You work methodically.
- You''re not afraid to get hands-on and are regularly present on the shop floor to thoroughly understand the various production processes.
- You take ownership and responsibility for your projects.
- You have strong communication skills and can persuade others when implementing new improvements.
- You are willing to travel occasionally to share and implement best practices within our sister companies.
