Are you a strategic leader with a strong background in credit risk and decision-making? A unique opportunity has arisen for a Head of Credit Decisions and Credit Risk in Brussels, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping credit strategy, enhancing processes, and leading a high-performing team in the banking sector.
Your responsibilities as a Head of Credit Decisions and Credit Risk:
- Define and implement the credit strategy to drive business growth and performance
- Optimize the credit approval process for efficiency and automation while maintaining risk awareness
- Lead change management initiatives and ensure adoption of new working methods
- Develop team skills, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Provide coaching and training to enhance leadership and technical competencies
- Oversee credit-related projects, policies, and procedures to ensure risk control
- Represent credit risk interests with senior stakeholders and regulators
- Collaborate with Sales and brokers to align credit strategies with business objectives
- Chair Credit Decision Committees and contribute to portfolio monitoring
About you:
- You have strong expertise in credit analysis, particularly in mortgage lending
- You have experience in credit decision-making and risk management
- You have led teams and managed senior stakeholders
- You have driven transformation projects and process improvements
- You are fluent in Dutch, French, and English
- Experience in compliance, legal, operations, or a B2B2C environment is a plus
- You have been part of a Management Team, contributing to strategy and P&L
