Job Description We are currently looking for a SeniorLiability Underwriter for our Liability department. This jobincludes underwriting large, complex or specialist cases to achievenew business and retention targets. You will spend the majority ofyour time driving underwriting decisions, actively contributing tobusiness development activities and liaising with customers andbrokers. You will deal with customers and third partiesindependently and on a one-to-one basis. You will be a seniormember within the French Liability team where you will act as pointof contact for junior members in the team. You have stronganalytical, relationship management and communication skills. KeyResponsibilities: - Reviewing allocated complex and/or largeLiability cases and delivering underwriting decisions againstcompany Plans and within agreed timeframes, in order to secureprofitable business within authority level and risk appetite. -Taking ownership and accountability of your Liability book ofbusiness of large and complex accounts and being able to deliver onset KPIs as per company Plans. - Contributing to the creation ofsegment and local business development plans which identifyexisting and regular flow of new business opportunities. - Ensuringan effective relationship with Underwriting and Commercialcolleagues and other stakeholders. - Accessing and applyingavailable UW Tools, Rating Engines, Protocols and technicalinsights in order to best satisfy the needs of clients and brokersby providing tailored insurance solutions. - Clearly and positivelyarticulating our proposition and risk appetite. - Maximisingprofitable business growth through: Reviewing existing Liabilitybusiness and/or seeking out and following up on new business cases.Effectively negotiating and delivering underwriting decisionsthrough following agreed processes and designated authority levels.Promptly managing non-standard, large and/or complex Liabilitycases and if outside of licence escalating to the relevant BusinessLead and work with them to deliver an outstanding service to thebroker/client. Accessing senior direction and support asappropriate. Developing a trusted, deep and long term relationshipwith selected brokers to generate progress and close new, upselling and cross selling business opportunities. Managing andworking with others to take responsibility for effectively andpromptly resolving broker and/or client complaints - Being aware ofand adhering to our regulatory framework at all time. - Providingguidance and coaching to less qualified/experienced colleagueswhere appropriate. - Ensuring the Underwriting Assistant Team &the OPS Team capture and record data in a timely and accuratefashion. - Following up on timely policy documentation issuing
