Job Responsibilities
- Creates new product and tooling drawings:
- Create 3D models and 2D drawings for new product components and assemblies using Solidworks.
- Creates 3D models and 2D drawings for new tooling used in the manufacture of product.
- Creates models and drawings from sketches provided by engineers or by measuring the actual components with measuring devices such as calipers.
- Revises and maintain existing product and tooling drawings:
- Revises drawings from marked-up existing product and tooling drawings as required.
- Maintains drawing database system:
- Accurately checks drawings in and out of drawing management database.
- Maintains current drawing database system.
- Supports documentation system (ECR/ECN):
- Works with Documentation Specialists to support and maintain engineering change system.
Job Requirements
- Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings in both systems ASME (US) and ISO (International) - Key ability.
- English B1/B2.
- Basic math skills used in developing drawings.
- Use of measuring tools (i.e. calipers).
- AutoCad Software.
- Solidworks Software.
- Microsoft Office Products.
- Knowledge of SAP is an additional asset.
