This is your chance to make history!We are looking for a dedicated and team-oriented Vendor Manager to join the Furniture team.The role can be based in any of our EU retail locations in London, Manchester, Madrid, Milan, Munich, Berlin, or Paris.You will define and drive long-term objectives and strategy for the business and will be responsible for managing comprehensive selection across multiple brands, developing collaborative marketing and promotions, and driving sales and margin improvements.Key job responsibilitiesDrive selection (direct / indirect supply, priority brands, and terms)Establish relationships and conclude agreements/deals with leading brandsExecute technical integration with suppliers and lead projects to source stock more efficiently, manage prices, execute promotions, and assimilate vendor catalogsAgree with vendors on promotions and marketing initiatives, and coordinate with the Site Merchandising team to execute these activitiesDemand forecasting: Create forecasts of demand based on multiple sources (local sales history, other locales data, external sources, vendor feedback)In-stock monitoring: Daily monitoring of inventory levels to reduce stockout/overstock riskParticipate in day-to-day operational aspects of the category, including gathering and addressing customer feedback, price monitoring, and business improvement initiativesBe an ambassador within the industry and continuously enhance Amazon''s positionYou will have the opportunity to develop and progress within a dynamic and growing industry and gain exposure to Amazon''s top management in Europe.Minimum qualifications:Bachelor''s Degree in Economics, Engineering, or Sciences57 years of working experience in management consulting, vendor account management, project management, and/or buyer positionStrong business judgment with a track record of successful relationship management and people management skillsStrong analytical skills (including advanced Excel and database analysis)Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred qualifications:Interpersonal and communication skills, negotiation skills, bias for action, ownership, project management skills, and comprehensive business understandingAutonomous, tenacious, and creative individuals who adapt quickly in fast-paced environments requiring prioritization and multitaskingEnthusiastic team player spiritPostgraduate education/Master''s level qualification (MBA from top-tier school is a plus)Experience in startup environments or short-cycle businessesWorking knowledge of additional languagesKnowledge of Microsoft Access or SQLExperience in people management (nice-to-have)Amazon is an equal opportunities employer that values diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive environment.
