The product owner is responsible for the ROI through prioritization of product features in the backlog based on business value; for that purpose, engages in regular communications with customers and stakeholders and collects feedback.
The product owner makes necessary decisions for his/her product, assumes responsibility for its success, and thus ensures product quality together with the development team. In that context, he/she is also responsible for creating reusable solutions, developing and adjusting current frameworks, and finding new solutions to make the life of the Big Data Cluster more efficient.
In your role within Big Data Cluster, you will be responsible for the investigation, preparation, and enhancement of our Products. The product owner develops a product and/or process vision based on customer needs and expectations of stakeholders/principals within the framework of the strategic guidelines, defines product features, and communicates these decisions transparently within the team.
The Big Data cluster is the enabler for data scientists and provides a huge collection of data and a data science workbench in one place:
Establish a stable, state-of-the art technology base
Set up data lake as single data and analytics hub and effectively ingest most important data sources
Establish data quality and metadata management
Provide Data Marts and sandboxes for segments and functions with the most important combination of data sources
Provide new, maintain/integrate existing BI technology within the lake infrastructure
Ensure precondition for decommissioning of secondary data bases
responsibilities :
Develops a product and/or process vision
Creates and is responsible for the product backlog, determines the sprint backlog prior to every sprint through prioritisation by business value and/or customer benefit
Ensures stable operations as per the service level agreements, IT security guidelines, user privilege management policy and the regulatory requirements, e.g., in connection with the backlog
Manages the relationship with customers/stakeholders
Early recognition of impending problems; gaining an understanding of overall context and consequences above and beyond the urgent problem; development of new and innovative problem-solving approaches. The developed solutions can serve as templates for standard processes
