As the Site Manager within their newly formed housing division, you will have full responsibility for construction and management of the site ensuring a safe and efficient delivery of the project.Ideally the Site Manager will have previous experience on similar projects, being responsible for all activities / sub-contract packages in relation to time, cost and quality. Initial phase of 90 units located in South County Dublin.This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with company Directors/senior management with a genuine market leading company.**Duties & Responsibilities**:The Management of employees, subcontractors and materials to ensure the safe and effective delivery of contract worksEnsure works are carried out in the most efficient manner possible to achieve optimum commercial results for the contracts under his/her controlThe Site Manager will ensure contract costs are managed within budget and programmeEnsuring all work is completed to an acceptable quality standard and in compliance with specificationEnsure the implementation of Quality management System to include Quality and Environmental processes and proceduresEnsure adequate resources are in place for contracts under their controlEnsure contract review meetings are held on all contractsEnsure Pre-Appointment and co-ordination meetings are held with all Sub-ContractorsComplete Performance Reviews and the Personal Development Plans for direct reports ensuring future staff development**Necessary Requirements**:Have a minimum of 8 years construction project management experience.Have a sound knowledge of current construction techniques.Ideally have a minimum of a 2:1 Hons Degree in an Engineering/construction related discipline or strong trades background (preferably Carpentry)Knowledge of design procurementKnowledge of construction methods and best practice, technologies and materialsKnowledge and understanding of subcontract/material procurementKnowledge of Management SystemsKnowledge of standards and specificationsKnowledge of commercial managementKnowledge of Safety & Health and Quality Policies and ProceduresHave a proven track record of seeing projects through to their successful completion.Familiar with MS Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills.Analytically thinker with demonstrated problem solving skillsAbility to perform multiple tasks at a high level of qualityAbility to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline environmentHigh Quality Finishing experience is a necessityFor more information about this role or others, contact Kevin Nolan at Oradeo Recruitment confidentially on +353 1 687 7188/ +44 845 643 4964 or apply in confidence.About Oradeo Oradeo Recruitment are specialists in the construction & engineering sector.
