The Centre of Excellence FPRA team is a dynamic, collaborative group dedicated to providing critical financial insights and support to drive the company's strategic objectives. We develop and support analytic technologies to give our internal customers structured access to timely, accurate, and actionable data. We work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to innovative solutions and demonstrating meticulousness.

About The Role

In this role, you will lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting of direct costs for our largest business unit focused on scientific journals.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop expectations based on actual performance trends, strategic changes, and other business inputs. Prepare baseline forecasts, overlay expected changes, and input final projections into forecasting tools. Provide insights and commentary on variance analysis.
  2. Run specific queries and reports, reconcile data, and support key stakeholders with comprehensive analysis.
  3. Calculate and prepare deferral and accrual journals.
  4. Seek and implement continuous improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of financial systems and processes.
  5. Support annual audits and ensure data integrity and consistency across all financial activities.
