Process Improvement Internship at the Engineering Department
AAR Amsterdam offers a challenging internship for a 3rd or 4th year HBO student in "Industrial Engineering and Management" who is interested in process improvement within our Engineering department. During this internship, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to optimizing our processes and workflows.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Analyzing existing processes and identifying improvement points.
- Developing and implementing process improvements.
- Collaborating with the engineering team to realize efficient solutions.
- Documenting process changes and preparing reports.
- Assisting in training employees in new processes.
Specific Project Goals:
- Reducing lead times of engineering processes by 20%.
- Increasing the accuracy of data entry by implementing automated checks.
- Improving communication and collaboration between different departments by developing a streamlined workflow.
Requirements:
- HBO student "Industrial Engineering and Management" (3rd or 4th year).
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
- Good communication skills.
- Proactive and independent work attitude.
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and process improvement tools such as Lean Six Sigma.
- Familiarity with process mapping and data analysis tools.
- Living in The Netherlands
