Senior Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for activities related to its discipline within a project or across projects assigned. He / She guides, as Discipline Leader, a group of instrumentation engineers assigned to the project, for the development of deliverables and execution of activities of instrumentation and automation discipline according to the project schedule in compliance with safety and technological requirements and standards defined for the project.He / She reports to the Project Manager and Process Automation Manager for the project-related activities, while reporting to the Head of Department for resource management.RequirementsBachelors Degree in Automation / Electrical engineering.Minimum +7 / 8 years of work experience in engineering design in Oil & Gas or Power sectors is preferred.Proactivity, sense of initiative, ability to work independently and in a team.Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken).Availability for short and long-term national and international business trips.We encourage candidates who may not meet every single requirement to apply, as we provide opportunities for growth and learning.Main tasks and responsibilitiesDiscuss with Project Manager and Head of Department the project execution strategy and schedule.Coordinate discipline activities ensuring consistency with schedule, project requirements, safety, and standards.Collaborate with other discipline leaders for project execution.Identify deviations from contract scope and assess impact.Interface with Customers, Vendors, and Manufacturers for instrumentation topics.Provide instrumentation engineering expertise for design and development.Check and approve project documentation before issuance.Contribute to hazard and operability studies (HazOp, HazId), risk assessments, SIL assignments.Support procurement department through technical bid evaluation.Provide feedback to improve team efficiency and assist in developing departmental procedures, standards, and instructions.Train colleagues and promote continuous improvement in instrumentation design.Possible additional tasksRepresent the Department during technical meetings with customers or manufacturers.Represent the company at plant sites.Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.Assist customers during plant operation and fine-tuning.Support manufacturer inspections and assist the Commercial Department in technical proposals.Junior Instrumentation EngineerResponsible for activities within a project, preparing deliverables and executing tasks under the guidance of the Lead, in compliance with safety and standards. Reports to the Head of Department and the Discipline Leader.Requirements include a Bachelors Degree in Automation / Electrical or Chemical Engineering, +2 / 3 years of experience, and fluency in Italian and English. Willingness to travel is also required.Main tasks and responsibilitiesDevelop discipline deliverables such as technical specifications, data sheets, sizing calculations, process sketches, wiring diagrams, and network configurations.Assist with control logic, safety systems, and instrumentation design on P&IDs.Provide feedback to the Discipline Leader to improve team efficiency.Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities as needed.Instrumentation Engineers may also assist in manufacturer inspections and support plant start-up activities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
