Hexagons Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking an HR Shared Services Consultant to be based in The Netherlands (Hoofddorp) or in Belgium (Brussels or Ghent).
Hexagons Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) looking for a Dutch-speaking HR Advisor/Consultant to join the HR Shared Services team.
The successful candidate will initially focus on providing HR services and support for Belgium and the Netherlands, with a gradual expansion of responsibilities to cover the broader EMEA region.
Overview and Job Summary:
The HR Shared Services Consultant is an experienced HR professional responsible for providing advice and guidance to employees independently on various HR matters. This role focuses on enhancing process efficiency, optimizing HR services, and contributing to the development of HR operational strategies. Additionally, the consultant is expected to provide training support within the HR Shared Services team.
In this role, your work will be related to
Employee Lifecycle Process:
- Undertake the administration of the complete employee life cycle processes including onboarding, performance management process, absence and leave management, wellbeing support (including the activities related to the Occupational health and safety services), compensation administration and offboarding processes, across the EMIA region.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, offering advice on HR-related matters and resolving inquiries or directing them to the appropriate HRBP or HR Manager as needed.
- Support the HRBP/HR Manager in managing employee relations issues and implementing management decisions on HR matters.
- Assist in distributing and maintaining HR policies and procedures, providing guidance to employees and managers to ensure proper understanding and implementation.
- Ensure employees and managers are proficient in using the HRIS system, which may involve conducting training sessions or offering individual support.
Record Management:
- Ensure all relevant HR records, including HRIS systems, are up to date, accurate and comply with applicable legislation.
- Manage HR-related documentation such as employment contracts, job changes, maternity/paternity requests, and absence records.
- Oversee the completion of pre-employment background checks, right-to-work checks, and work with the HRBP to address any discrepancies.
- Support audit and compliance requests by providing reports and required information.
- Assist inter-company transfers, work permit and visa processes in collaboration with third-party vendors.
- Administer HR benefits, liaise with external suppliers, and handle registration and updates as applicable (dependent on the country).
- Provide monthly payroll inputs and updates, respond to payroll queries, and collaborate with the payroll team.
- Responsible for complete pension administration process, including involvement in contract renewals for the Netherlands.
Reports and HR Analytics:
- Generate HR analytics reports to provide insights and recommendations to the HRBP, such as attrition analysis and absence tracking.
- Assist in preparing presentations for management to present HR data.
Generalist HR Support:
- Opportunity to participate and support global HR projects and change management initiatives.
- Provide administrative assistance to HRBPs in organizational change, mergers and acquisitions, and legal matters.
Is this you?
- Bachelors degree in human resources and/ or Business Administration.
- Strong experience in HR (Min 5 years), including HR Shared Services, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibilities.
- In-depth knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, social security regulations and industry best practices in Belgium and the Netherlands. Familiarity with employment laws and regulations of other EMEA countries is a strong asset.
