As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician you will work with hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment as a troubleshooting and operation responder. Your work will help to maintain one of the world''s largest information system infrastructures.This is a Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) engineering role, managing infrastructure such as diesel generators, switch gear, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, fire detection systems and building automation systems. You will deploy, operate, and maintain the facilities (electrical/mechanical systems, control/fire-fighting systems, etc.) and manage related projects at our large-scale, high-density data centers.The role requires a highly driven, self-managed individual who demonstrates initiative and proactively seeks solutions to complex technical problems. You will report to the Data Center Engineering Operations Facilities Manager.**CVs should be submitted in English**Key job responsibilitiesSAFETY- Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture.- Ensure remediation of safety risks/issues in conjunction with other teams.- Own safety initiatives and projects to foster strong safety culture.ENGINEERING & FACILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE- Operational experience and familiarity with electrical and mechanical equipment, including Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPSs), Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS''s), Diesel Generators, Chillers, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD''s), and Transformers.- Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs)- Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.)- Supervise con-tractor or Engineering Operations Technicians to ensure proper operation and maintenance of all facility equipment.- Driving continuous improvement efforts on infrastructure through standardization of procedures and policies, while delivering performance against agreed metrics.- Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians and assist in recruiting efforts.- Lead the root cause analysis for operational issues, and conduct meetings with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to finalize mitigation strategies.A day in the lifeYoull join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.
