The Workplaces function leads the end‑to‑end decarbonization approach and the HSEE (Health, Safety, Environment & Energy) strategy for adidas’ own operations. It plays a critical role in delivering the 2030 sustainability and H&S targets, influencing overall company performance, compliance, and reputation.
The Senior Managr HSEE leads the overarching HSEE agenda for Own Operations, ensuring the development and alignment of global planning standards, coordination frameworks, and strategic guidelines. Acting as a strategic orchestrator, the Sr Manager drives cross-functional collaboration, managing complex projects and strategic initiatives in partnership with diverse teams. The position plays a pivotal role in guiding transformation—embedding continuous improvement, elevating performance, and fostering a culture of safety, sustainability, and operational integrity across DCs, Offices and Retail. Importantly, this role carries significant financial responsibility, ensuring robust evaluation of strategic initiatives, effective assessment of returns on investment, and financial discipline across decarbonization and HSEE programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the HSEE strategic initiatives, ensuring strong planning, governance, and long-term value creation.
Support the Decarbonization Strategy for Own Operations, including roadmaps, project portfolios, performance assessments, and full financial evaluation (ROI, cost–benefit analysis, and savings optimization).
Lead the development and implementation of HSEE standards, trainings, and strategic frameworks in alignment with business priorities and internal/external partners.
Develop and manage the global HSEE standards and KPI framework, ensuring accurate, transparent reporting supporting business decision making.
Drive business integration of sustainability strategies, contributing strategic insights to key management forums across Own Operations and Retail.
Facilitate cross-functional engagement, identify synergies, and lead action plans that strengthen processes, performance, and cost efficiencies.
Support and advance the implementation of the Integrated Management System (IMS) across all relevant areas.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
University degree in Engineering or Finance, with certified HSEE knowledge (mandatory).
Minimum 8 years of professional HSEE experience in a global organization, preferably in the sporting goods or facilities management sectors.
Proven leadership experience in managing and developing large, diverse teams.
Strong knowledge of regional energy markets, emerging trends, and health & safety regulations.
Expertise in green building standards, construction, facility management, and IMS. Internal auditor certification in ISO 50001 and ISO 45001 is mandatory.
Solid understanding of major sustainability collective initiatives (e.g., SBTi, UNFCCC Fashion Charter).
Advanced knowledge of environmental and H&S reporting frameworks, including the GHG Protocol and CSRD/ESRS (mandatory).
Deep expertise in corporate sustainability, from environmental footprint methodologies to disclosure and reporting standards.
Proven ability to design, lead, and integrate global cross‑functional strategic initiatives and manage complex sustainability data frameworks.
