About the role At Nasdaq, we're reimagining the markets of tomorrow and our Global Technology department is responsible for developing leading technology to support our vision. The Nasdaq Risk team is building the next-generation system that empowers banks and brokers with real-time risk management. You will join a highly talented team that writes code and solves problems in a fast-paced and truly global environment. The system is built using Java, Kafka, Kubernetes, and deployed in AWS. Our domain presents challenging problems in efficiency, resilience, and computational complexity. You will need a strong Java foundation but also the interest and drive to do work throughout the whole technology stack. As you grow, there are opportunities to expand into a wide range of areas spanning from financial modeling to infrastructure as code. What will you do: Take part in the architectural and infrastructural design of our applications Enforce best practices and high code standard Work as part of an Agile Scrum team Communicate complex concepts and negotiate with others to adopt a different point of view What will you need: Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience proven years Core Java experience Professional experience developing high performing scalable, complex systems Proficiency in Core Java, CI/CD, Linux, Git Good Interpersonal Skills Other preferred skills considered a plus: Cloud DevOps: Kubernetes, Docker, AWS Deployment and Monitoring, Terraform Programming Languages Frameworks: Spring, Python, Typescript / React Data Technologies: Kafka, SQL What We Offer! The company allows the flexibility to work half a week on-site and remotely (Hybrid model).
