Your Role:
As a Java Developer, you will play a key role in the design and development of their medical software solutionsranging from patient management systems to secure health data platforms. Youll be working in a collaborative, agile team environment, contributing to both backend logic and system architecture to support scalable and compliant digital health applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable Java applications in a regulated environment
- Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and fellow developers to deliver robust healthcare solutions
- Implement integration with medical systems (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and third-party APIs
- Write clean, secure, and well-documented code that adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to support ongoing compliance and quality assurance
- Continuously improve development processes and contribute ideas for system and architecture improvements
Requirements:
- Solid experience with Java (Java 8+), Spring/Spring Boot, and RESTful API development
- Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate)
- Familiarity with software development in regulated industries, especially healthcare or pharmaceuticals, is a plus
- A passion for clean code, scalability, and security
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team
- Good communication skills in English (Dutch or French is a plus depending on location)
Bonus Skills:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular or React) is a plus
