Our client is an international Corporate & Investment Bank, currently seeking an Executive Officer Trade Finance with a focus on Letters of Credit.The candidate will join the Operations Department and, working closely with the Head of Department, will be responsible for:Verifying with the Trade Finance Department that each transaction complies with the banks procedures and the terms of customer facilities, ensuring all necessary limits and approvals are properly in place;Reviewing each transaction from initial receipt, identifying critical issues related to rules, internal procedures, and policies, and proposing appropriate solutions;Handling, verifying, and authorizing activities related to Import, Export, Back-to-Back, and Stand-by Letters of Credit, including issuance, advising, amendment, document checking, and payment;Examining documents presented under letters of credit;Processing internal/external queries received via SWIFT, email, and telephone, ensuring timely responses and providing technical expertise when required;Managing activities related to inward and outward collections, guarantees, including issuing, amending, and claiming charges at periodic intervals;Providing technical assistance and guidance to junior staff.Requirements:Degree in Economics or Law;Previous experience of at least 10-15 years in trade finance teams of leading international banks;Fluent in English (spoken and written);Strong knowledge of letters of credit instruments and related regulations;Great attention to detail;Strong interpersonal skills and a predisposition for teamwork.Note: The job posting is open to all genders (D.lgs n. 198 / 2006) and complies with art. 10 of D.Lgs n. 276 / 2003.
