Job Title: Automation Engineer (Freelance)

Location: Rotterdam (Hybrid 2 days on-site)

Hourly Rate: 85-95 per hour

Contract: 9 months initially (with potential extension)

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced freelance Automation Engineer to join our client, who is a leading company in the consumer electronics industry. This role will be based in Rotterdam, but offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring just 2 days on-site per week. The contract is initially set for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

You will be involved in designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting automation systems using Siemens TIA Portal, PLCs, SCADA systems, Java, and FMEA methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize automation systems using Siemens TIA Portal.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs for industrial automation processes.
• Develop and maintain SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability and performance.
• Apply FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) to identify risks and optimize system designs.

Requirements:

• Proficiency with Siemens TIA Portal and PLC programming.
• Hands-on experience with Java programming for automation tasks.
• Understanding of SCADA systems and their integration with automation systems.
• Familiarity with FMEA techniques for system improvement.
