Intertek, a leading provider of ATIC (Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification) Services, for its Industry Services Division is looking for a Lead Inspector for a 24 months project based at supplier in Tarragona.The Lead Inspector will supervise all inspection activities related to the erection of LNG modular structures and site piping systems. The selected candidate will lead the mechanical and welding inspection scope, ensure strict adherence to international standards, and coordinate effectively with other discipline leads including EI, mechanical completion, painting, and insulation.Responsibilities:Lead and coordinate all mechanical and welding inspection activities on siteSupervise the erection of modular structures and assembly of piping systems per project specificationsEnsure compliance with ASME IX, AWS D1.1, ISO 9606, and ASME B31.3 codes and standardsReview Inspection Test Plan and Mechanical Completion CertificatesMonitor Notification For Inspection flow from vendor to Company, verifying aderence with ITP requirementsManage and review piping test packs (including WSL, NDT and mechanical completion certificates/check sheet), walkdowns, and pressure tests (hydrostatic/pneumatic)Monitor fit-up, alignment, weld quality, and fabrication tolerancesInterface with client representatives, third-party inspectors, and construction leadsCollaborate closely with other team leads (EI, painting, insulation, mechanical completion) to ensure project integration and efficient planning.Requirements:Solid experience in inspection of modular construction and field piping assembly for oil gas or LNG projectsProven knowledge of welding and piping inspection, including test pack and pressure test managementFluent in English (mandatory); Spanish is a plusRequired Certifications/Experience:CSWIP 3.2 or AWS CWINDT Level II in VT, PT, MT (UT preferred)API 577 (preferred)Proven competence or training in ASME B31.3HSE training (e.G., OSHA 30 or ISO 45001 awareness) is an advantage
