Based out of Brussels, you will be a member of our European Legal team, whose primary responsibilities will be providing advice and legal support for our offices located in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. Your work will cover a broad range of topics in connection with McKinseys client work. You will also be expected to liaise and work closely with colleagues from other functions such as finance, communications, risk, compliance, tax, etc.
McKinseys Legal Department is a diverse and dynamic team of over 250 legal professionals based across 43 countries, which provides a comprehensive legal service to our firms consultants and support functions throughout the world.
You will provide guidance on regulations and contracts and counsel to consultants on a variety of engagement-related legal and reputational issues (including information sharing, third-party contracts and disclosures, M&A-related issues, potential conflicts of interest issues, antitrust issues, anti-corruption).
You will draft, develop, review and negotiate complex consulting agreements and other contracts, draft and advise on complex performance-based fee arrangements for various types of McKinsey clients, and draft and advise on term sheets for collaborations with other entities when equity or other non-standard compensation is involved.
You will identify best practices to address legal and professional issues impacting the firms business, including counselling consultants on the application of McKinseys internal policies.
You will counsel consultants on a variety of other legal issues, including confidentiality, indemnity and compliance with McKinsey policies for a wide variety of McKinsey clients.
You will work together and liaise with other lawyers, contracts counsels and paralegals in Benelux and across Europe in diverse jurisdictions and will collaborate with colleagues (Europe and worldwide) outside the legal department (e.g., risk managers, external relations/communications, office and practice leadership, local administrative leaders).
