The Role:
We are seeking a Senior Data Governance Officer to lead and enhance our data governance framework. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring data quality, establishing governance policies, and driving strategic initiatives that align with regulatory standards and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Oversee data quality management practices, identifying and resolving data issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data governance alignment across the organization.
- Lead the data stewardship program, providing guidance and support to data owners.
- Monitor compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular data audits and prepare reports for senior management.
- Champion a culture of data responsibility and literacy throughout the business.
Required Skills Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior data governance or data management role, ideally within the finance sector.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations (e.g., GDPR, BCBS 239, DORA, etc.).
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP, DAMA) are a plus.
