We are currently looking on behalf of one of our important clients for a Head of Purchasing. The role is a permanent position based in Bern Canton & comes with good home office allowance.Your Role: Professionally & personally Manage a Purchasing Team containing 10 specialists covering both the strategic & operational aspects. Further develop & ensure talent management of the entire purchasing team. Actively support development projects from concept development to series production. Partake in the Global sourcing & development of new suppliers & alternative sources of procurement. Maintain & expand the existing supplier base. Hold holistic responsibility for compliance in purchasing. Conduct contract & price negotiations. Ensure sustainable supplier management accompanied by increased efficiency. Develop & implement supplier & product group strategies, e.g. VMI, JIT & consignment warehouse. Carry out permanent risk management & business continuity strategy implementation. Further develop & optimize procurement processes & associated tools.Your Skills & Profile: At least 10 years of relevant professional experience including at least 3 years of experience as a Purchasing Manager & in Leading Purchasing Teams, including in GMP or Industrial Environments. Good knowledge in the areas of MS Office & SAP knowledge (MM, Q, PP, BW). A high affinity for IT & motivation to digitize.Your Profile: Completed relevant University Degree. Resilient, reliable, assertive & dynamic. Highly proficient social, communication, negotiation & leadership expertise. Very results-oriented, structured & self-motivated.
